Six resource types
Different resources. Explicit rules.
Mira's planned resource model covers identity, quantity, time, consumption, occupancy and replenishment. Resource implementation follows acceptance of the complete database foundation.
Exclusive
A particular room, seat or device has its own identity. Mira's design admits a claim only when that identity is available under its rules.
Capacity
Allocate units from shared capacity without assigning every unit a separate identity. Available and allocated quantities must reconcile.
Intervals
Reserve capacity over half-open time intervals. Overlapping bookings must fit the resource's capacity throughout the requested window.
Inventory
Track stock, reservations, consumption and explicit corrections. A retry must not consume the same inventory twice.
Concurrency
Model permits for active work, including release and expiry. Fencing gives cooperating downstream systems a way to reject stale owners.
Budgets
Account for rate and spending allowances with explicit replenishment rules. Concurrent callers must observe the same budget authority.
